“Kids in the City” adventure world for families on August 8 in Lebach After the huge success last year, the city of Lebach is inviting people to its “Kids in the City” event again in 2026. At the end of the summer holidays, the pedestrian zone and town hall square will once again transform into a large adventure world for children, teenagers, and families on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Visitors can look forward to a varied program, from exciting interactive activities and creative offerings to music, magic, and a spectacular fire show. Numerous local clubs, institutions, and businesses are participating in the family event and ensuring an eventful day in downtown Lebach. Starting at 3:15 p.m., the Landsweiler Music Club will open the stage program. At 4:15 p.m., Denis Ebert, aka Eddi Zauberfinger, will delight the audience with his “Hits for smart kids.” Around 6 p.m., magician Jonny P Magic takes over the stage with his captivating magic show, leaving faces amazed. Afterwards, Lilly Heinrich, known from the television show “The Voice of Germany Kids,” will enchant the audience with her singing. As a special highlight, there will be another impressive fire show to close “Kids in the City.” Starting at around 9 p.m., “Feuerspiel Saar from Hülzweiler” will demonstrate their fire artistry. Between the program points, stilt walkers from the CIRCOLO Stilt Theater will entertain throughout the festival grounds and surprise guests with their imaginative performances. Plenty of action is also offered on the town hall parking deck. In the large action and fun park, children can complete a bicycle course organized by Motorsportfreunde Theeltal e.V. Bikes and helmets will be provided on site. The Caros Inline Academy also invites visitors to inline skate, skateboard, ride scooters, and waveboards. A huge bouncy castle area with several attractions, including a large bouncy castle course and throwing and football darts, promises great fun. Technology and emergency vehicles can be explored at hands-on activities by the Lebach youth fire brigade and the THW Lebach. The soccer players of SG Lebach/Landsweiler invite children to goal wall shooting with speed measurement. Book lovers will also get their money’s worth: Anne Treib Books & Paper and the Leselust Network offer story hours for children, various games, and a large book table. Numerous other creative activities such as face painting, glitter tattoos, making bracelets, painting, and crafting are organized by the city youth care service, levoBank, the Protestant church community, the Landsweiler Music Club, and the Lebach Taekwondo Club. As special walking acts, “The Ice Sisters” are expected. ProKIND will also fascinate children with huge XXL soap bubbles. Of course, food and drinks are well catered for. Drinks are offered by staff and parents of the city’s daycare centers. The support association of the Lebach primary school provides guests with grilled sausages, currywurst, fries, and slush ice. At Michael Würtz’s sweets stand, there is popcorn, cotton candy, and roasted almonds. Grandma Dang as well as the restaurants in the pedestrian zone offer numerous culinary delights. Marlene’s Dance World complements the offer with waffles, drinks, and coffee specialties. An additional all-day program point is the children’s and toy flea market, where children of all ages can browse, trade, and hunt for bargains. Information on registration procedures will be announced shortly. The city of Lebach looks forward to many small and large visitors and an unforgettable holiday finale at “Kids in the City” in downtown Lebach. Admission and participation are, of course, free!
