Performance badge and awarding of the honorary badge
Successful completion of the performance badge at the youth fire brigade in the Saarpfalz district and awarding of the honorary badge of the youth fire brigade Saarpfalz district
At this year's awarding of the performance badge, the participants impressively demonstrated their skills, fitness, and above all, their team spirit. The performance badge is considered the highest honor of the German Youth Fire Brigade and requires a successful group or relay performance in several disciplines. After intensive preparation, the young people competed in the areas of speed exercise, fire attack, relay race, shot put, and answering questions. In doing so, not only firefighting knowledge and physical performance were evaluated, but also the collective appearance and cooperation within the group or relay team.
There was busy activity early in the morning at the event site in Kirkel-Limbach. Under the watchful eyes of the judges, the young participants completed the individual tasks with great focus and motivation. Especially during the firefighting attack and the speed exercise, it became clear how well prepared the group was for the challenges. The months of preparation paid off: in the end, all participating youths were able to successfully meet the requirements and receive the coveted performance badge. The joy among the youths, their supervisors, as well as the accompanying parents and guests was accordingly great.
The successful day, which will surely remain memorable for the young people for a long time, ended with applause and many congratulations. The groups St. Ingbert/Gersheim as well as Blieskastel 1 and Blieskastel 2 participated. The participating teams Kirkel, Mandelbachtal 1 and 2, Bexbach,Homburg 1 andHomburg 2 (Jägersburg/Kirrberg) also took part. "We thank the municipality of Kirkel, Mayor Dominik Hochlenert, for providing the venue and the warm welcome in Limbach," emphasized district youth officer Dirk Sandmayer.
In the solemn setting of the Leistungsspange ceremony, the honorary pin of the Saarpfalz district youth fire brigade was also awarded to deserving individuals. This special award honors people who have committed themselves with great dedication over many years and have significantly helped shape community life for the youth fire brigade. The recipients of this award were Christian Müller and Klaus Tramenau (Frankenholz fire district), Eric Müller (Erfweiler-Ehlingen fire district), Andreas Schiweck (Wolfersheim fire district), Thomas von Hofen (Kirrberg fire district), and Peter Rümkorff (RTE Recycling company).
