The Office for Urban Greenery and Cemeteries therefore appeals to cemetery visitors to temporarily refrain from lighting candles. Dry grass, withered leaves, and laid-down wreaths form a highly flammable base in the summer heat. Sudden sparks or falling candles can quickly ignite these materials. The Office for Urban Greenery and Cemeteries points out that due to the increased fire risk, the use of LED candles should also be avoided. The built-in batteries of LED lights pose a significant fire hazard. Under strong sunlight and extreme heat, the batteries of LED lights can overheat, swell, and explode. Visitors to the cemeteries are also urged not to carelessly discard cigarette butts, as dry hedges and bushes could catch fire. Hot parts of parked vehicles can also potentially cause fires. Therefore, cars should only be parked on paved surfaces. The Office for Urban Greenery and Cemeteries asks all visitors to be extra vigilant and reminds them to comply with safety regulations.
