Construction progress on the renewal of the water main on Rosenstraße in Mandelbachtal-Wittersheim Mandelbachtal, June 25, 2026 Another important construction phase has been completed in the renewal of the drinking water main on Rosenstraße. The new main pipe with a nominal diameter of DN 100 has been fully laid. In addition, the valve cross has been installed. It connects several pipeline sections and allows for the targeted shutdown of individual areas of the drinking water network during maintenance or repair work without interrupting water supply in other areas. The new pipeline is currently being flushed and disinfected. This will be followed by a pressure test to check for leaks as well as a microbiological examination of the drinking water. Approval will only be granted once it has been officially confirmed that the water quality is impeccable. After this, the civil engineering company Jablonski & Busch from Quierschied-Fischbach will begin renewing the individual house connections. With this measure, the Technical Works Mandelbachtal (TeWeMa) are modernizing the drinking water infrastructure and laying the foundation for a long-term safe and reliable water supply in the district of Wittersheim.
