The Saarbrücken City Police Department is investigating a 38-year-old man for aggravated assault and is asking the public for assistance. The incident occurred on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at approximately 6:26 PM in the Rewe supermarket of the Europa Galerie in Saarbrücken. According to current information, the suspect allegedly sprayed pepper spray there during an altercation.
The use of the irritant spray may have affected or injured other individuals who were present in the Rewe market or in its immediate vicinity at the time of the incident.
