Minister Berg on summer tour at Rettel’s Party Service – Preparing delicious, sustainable breakfast under professional guidance
Food is not just about nourishment. Our choice of meals influences our well-being, our sense of community, social justice, our environment, and our climate. Ideally, a regional, seasonal, and health-promoting diet that also brings joy and pleasure is best. Especially breakfast determines how energized we get through the school and workday.
Together with chefs Léa Linster and Yvonne Fries as well as selected volunteers from the food banks, Minister Petra Berg discusses how this can be made possible especially for financially disadvantaged Saarlanders. Rettel’s party service takes over the organization and provides its production facility, allowing all participants to prepare a full breakfast themselves.
With this event as part of her summer tour, Berg simultaneously honors the great voluntary commitment in the eleven Saarland food banks and 13 distribution points. They make a significant contribution to the support of people affected by poverty as well as in the area of food rescue in Saarland.
You are cordially invited to attend the event and report on it.
