Good day,
following the press release regarding the cancellation of the open air event on Saturday at the Rosseltalhalle:
Dear visitors of the Summer Open Air,
With heavy hearts, we have to cancel the Summer Open Air on June 27, 2026, due to the ongoing heatwave.
The safety and health of our guests, artists, helpers, and all participants is our top priority.
In recent days, we have closely monitored the weather development and examined various measures to still be able to carry out the event.
Among other things, extensive precautions were planned, including the free provision of drinking water as well as additional measures to ease the burden on visitors.
Nevertheless, we must acknowledge that with the predicted temperatures, adequate protection cannot be guaranteed 100 percent.
Since it is an open-air event held on the forecourt of the Rosseltalhalle, a large part of the event area is exposed to direct sunlight.
The health risks caused by the extreme heat are therefore not justifiable despite all planned measures.
This decision was not easy for us, but it was made after careful consideration of all factors.
Tickets that have already been purchased remain fully valid, of course.
We are already working at full speed on a rescheduled date and will announce it as soon as possible.
Please take special care of yourself and those around you in the coming days, avoid prolonged stays in direct sunlight if possible, drink plenty of water, and regularly seek out shady or cool places.
Intense and unshielded sunlight can quickly lead to health issues. Take care of yourself and get through these hot days safely.
We thank you for your understanding and support and look forward to making up the Summer Open Air together with you at a later date.
I request publication.
Kind regards
on behalf
