On June 24, 2026, at around 1:03 PM, a traffic accident occurred at the self-service car wash at Oststraße 72 in 66386 St. Ingbert. In the process of exiting a wash bay, a collision took place between a 7-year-old child and a taxi. The child was admitted to a nearby hospital as an inpatient due to their injuries. The driver of the taxi suffered a shock from the accident. The area around the car wash had to be completely closed for the duration of the accident investigation, also due to the deployment of a rescue helicopter.
