The persistently high temperatures are currently causing a strong influx of visitors to the St. Ingbert leisure pool "das blau". On particularly hot days, many guests use the pool to cool off. Many visitors arrive by car.
In recent days, there have been increasing incidents of wild and improper parking around the swimming pool. Vehicles were parked partly outside designated parking areas, on green strips, in driveways, or were obstructively parked.
The city of St. Ingbert and the blue indicate that in addition to the parking lot located directly at the swimming pool, there are further parking options available. These include, in particular, the Obermühle parking lot, the parking lot at the Mühlwaldstadion, as well as the parking spaces of the St. Ingbert municipal utilities (only on weekends).
All visitors are kindly asked to use these additional parking options. Alternatively, guests can arrive by the well-organized city bus INGO and get off directly at the swimming pool.
Regardless of the occupancy of the parking spaces, the road traffic regulations (StVO) apply throughout the entire area around the leisure pool as well as in the parking lots. Traffic signs, no-parking zones, and designated parking spaces must be observed and complied with.
The regulatory office of the city of St. Ingbert will increase monitoring of the situation in the coming days. Traffic violations will be penalized.
