TheelFeschd with Changed Program!!!!
City Run Cancelled – Festival Takes Place as Planned
On Friday and Saturday, June 26 and 27, the city of Lebach invites you to TheelFeschd at the town hall square.
Due to the weather, the organizers (TV Lebach) have cancelled the 41st levoBank City Run planned as part of TheelFeschd. “We cannot take responsibility for a sporting event without health risks at these temperatures,” reads a statement from the gymnastic club and the Saarland Athletics Association.
However, the TheelFeschd program will take place as planned. The stands open at 7 pm. From 8:30 pm, the band "Changes" will provide a lively atmosphere with the best pop, rock, and club hits from past decades. On Saturday, "Dynamic Lounge" will take over the "Molter Tiefbau" stage from 9 pm with chilled lounge music, promising the best summer vibe.
Saturday afternoon is also dedicated to the 1st Lebach Sackloch Tournament, which will take place as scheduled. Hobby teams can demonstrate their skills from 3 pm. The city of Lebach will provide shade and water for participants. Additionally, there will be a children’s program without sporting activities on Saturday afternoon – the water play area in front of the town hall will of course also be operational.
Food and drink will be well taken care of on both days. Visitors can expect a diverse selection of food and beverages, including crepes, specialties from the smoker like pulled pork and baked potatoes, as well as spring rolls, pizza, pasta, and Mexican burritos. Cool drinks will be available at the stands of FV Lebach, TV Lebach, SC Lebach, and CVL. The range includes freshly tapped beer and mixed drinks to wine, sparkling wine, Aperol, and cocktails – and of course non-alcoholic options and soft drinks.
Mayor Brill and his team regret the program change on Friday: “It is of course very unfortunate that the city run and the Saarland Athletics Association (SLB) championship run had to be cancelled, but understandable. We will try to find a makeup date together with the organizer.” And he added: “Nevertheless, we look forward together with the stand operators to a great festival, which will be celebrated for the first time on our newly designed town hall square. With the change of venue, we have far more possibilities, can present the stands more generously, offer more seating, and also involve the local gastronomy in the pedestrian zone. Additionally, visitors can use Bitcher Platz as usual as a parking lot without restrictions on all weekdays and weekends.”
Weather-related cancellation of the run, festival program remains unchanged
