TheelFeschd for the first time at the new Town Hall Square
On Friday and Saturday, June 26 and 27, the city of Lebach invites you to TheelFeschd. Under the proven motto "Culture and Sport – in the heart of the town," visitors can expect a varied program for the whole family. This year there is a novelty: For the first time, the festival will not take place at Bitcher Platz, but at the newly redesigned Town Hall Square.

The starting signal for the first run is already at 4:30 p.m. The 10-kilometer main run (start at 6:30 p.m.) is held as a championship race of the Saarland Athletics Association (SLB). The route is officially measured by the German Athletics Association (DLV) and thus also offers the framework conditions for ambitious runners. In addition to the main run, numerous other competitions are on the program: a Bambini run for the youngest, a Special Run for people with disabilities, a 2.5 km pupil run as well as a 5-kilometer trial run. The relay competition is also particularly popular, where 4-person teams can complete the 10-kilometer distance together. Whether women’s, men’s, or mixed teams – clubs, companies, organizations, and groups of friends traditionally use this opportunity for sports team spirit and shared fun. The start and finish of all runs will be directly at the Town Hall for the first time this year. The awards ceremonies will also be held there afterward, so athletes and spectators can celebrate the successes together. The race is hosted by TV Lebach, and all information can be found on their website www.tv-lebach.de.
TheelFeschd also has a lot to offer musically: On Friday evening, the band “Changes” will create a great atmosphere from 8:30 p.m. with the best pop, rock, and club hits from past decades. On Saturday, “Dynamic Lounge” takes over the "Molter Tiefbau" stage from 9 p.m. and promises a top party atmosphere.
Saturday afternoon is also dedicated to another sporting highlight: At the 1st Lebach Sackloch Tournament, hobby teams can demonstrate their skill starting at 3 p.m. Organization and registration are handled by SC Lebach, info@sclebach.de. Contact person is Marc Weber.
There will be excellent catering on both days. Visitors can expect a diverse selection of food and drinks, including crêpes, smoker specialties such as pulled pork and baked potatoes, as well as spring rolls, pizza, pasta, and Mexican burritos. Cool drinks are available at the stands of FV Lebach, TV Lebach, SC Lebach, and CVL. The range includes freshly tapped beer and mixed drinks as well as wine, sparkling wine, Aperol, and cocktails.

"With the change of the festival grounds, we have significantly more possibilities, can present the stands more generously, offer more seating, and also involve the local gastronomy in the pedestrian zone. Moreover, visitors can continue to use Bitcher Platz as usual for parking on all weekdays and weekends without restrictions."
Due to the change of location, the start and finish area of the city run as well as the route will be changed compared to previous years. "I warmly invite you all to cheer on the runners along the route and the teams at the Sackloch tournament and then celebrate together at TheelFeschd. ‘Culture & Sport in the heart of the town’ is a concept that has been very well received for years and will once again attract athletes and party guests from all over Saarland to Lebach this year," the town’s head proudly adds.
