With a spirit of discovery – children from the municipal daycare at Stiefel visiting the MINT Campus Alte Schmelz
As part of early childhood STEM education, the children from the municipal daycare center am Stiefel in Rentrisch experienced an exciting and educational day during their visit to the STEM Campus Alte Schmelz in St. Ingbert. Already in the past, the children had the opportunity to get to know the Student Research and Technology Center (SFTZ). Due to the positive experiences and the great enthusiasm of the children, another visit was on the agenda. Once again, the young researchers had the chance to experience the world of science up close and actively discover new things.
The girls and boys aged four to five years old playfully immersed themselves in the fascinating world of natural sciences. The focus of the visit was on numerous experiments from the field of elements, specifically tailored to the age of the children. In addition to a dazzling demonstration, the young participants were able to try out many experiments themselves, gaining personal experiences and making discoveries. With great enthusiasm, they observed exciting reactions, asked questions, and explored the scientific phenomena in depth.
The children of the daycare at Stiefel warmly thank the team of the MINT-Campus Alte Schmelz for the friendly support and the exciting introduction to the world of natural sciences.
