The Saarbrücken City Police Department is seeking witnesses to a traffic accident that occurred on Metzer Straße, near house number 134, 66117 Saarbrücken. A truck driver was traveling outbound and intended to reverse into the driveway of property No. 134. During the maneuver, the rear of the truck already partially protruded onto the sidewalk. At the same time, a person using an electric senior mobility scooter was traveling on the sidewalk in the same direction. For reasons yet unknown, a collision occurred between the rear left corner of the truck and the right handlebar side of the senior scooter. As a result of the collision, the driver of the senior scooter fell to the ground, hitting their head on the sidewalk. The person sustained injuries. Both vehicles were damaged.
