22.06.2026 City of Völklingen – Press Release No. 105/2026 Free Digital Consultation Hour at the Völklingen City Library for the Federal Digital Day As part of the nationwide Digital Day, the Völklingen City Library, in cooperation with the Völklingen Adult Education Center, offers a free information and consultation event on PCs, laptops, tablets, the internet, and Windows on Friday, June 26, 2026. The open digital consultation hour takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the foyer of the city library on the ground floor of the Old Town Hall. Interested citizens have the opportunity to ask their individual questions in a personal conversation on site. Digital topics are explained clearly, practically, and without complicated technical terms. The offer is especially aimed at beginners, seniors, and all those interested with little digital knowledge. Possible consultation topics include basics of Windows, PCs, laptops, and tablets, the use of internet and Wi-Fi, questions about the safe use of digital services, understanding and saving files and folders, installing and using programs, as well as important device settings. General questions about the digital world can also be discussed. On site, a Windows PC with monitor as well as an Android and an iOS device are available. A maximum of 20 minutes consultation time per person is planned.
