On June 20, 2026, at around 6:30 PM, a fight occurred in the parking lot of the Völklingen outdoor swimming pool at Stadionstraße 10 in Völklingen. At that time, a 13-year-old Ukrainian boy was leaving the pool and was suddenly attacked by a total of three unknown perpetrators. One of the attackers initially approached the victim alone. The victim then fell to the ground. Subsequently, the other two perpetrators joined in. All three then kicked the victim lying on the ground with their shod feet. Witnesses observed the incident and intervened. As a result, the three perpetrators ceased their actions and fled.
The Völklingen police subsequently deployed officers to the scene. An ambulance also arrived at the location and attended to the victim. He sustained minor injuries, including a laceration and several bruises.
The initiated search measures did not lead to the identification of the perpetrators. Therefore, the police are now investigating for aggravated assault by unknown persons. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Völklingen police at 06898/2020.
