St. Ingbert youth firefighter Maciej Niklaus wins bronze in the 1,500 meter run at the Special Olympics
The city of St. Ingbert and the St. Ingbert fire department warmly congratulate Maciej Niklaus on his outstanding success at the Special Olympics.
The athlete in the discipline of athletics secured 3rd place on Friday morning in the men's 1500-meter race, thus winning the bronze medal as part of the Special Olympics.
The St. Ingbert native attends the school at Webersberg – State Special School for Physical and Motor Development in Homburg and demonstrates great commitment, discipline, and team spirit both there and in sports. In addition to his athletic performance, he is involved in the St. Ingbert city community: He is a member of the St. Ingbert Youth Fire Brigade and actively participates in training exercises.
A special sign of support came directly on site: supervisors of the St. Ingbert Youth Fire Brigade were present at the competition, cheering Maciej loudly and emotionally accompanying him during his run. The visible support from the fire brigade family underlines the strong cohesion within the youth fire brigade.
The city and the St. Ingbert fire department honor this special achievement as an outstanding example of commitment, perseverance, and lived inclusion.
