On June 18, 2026, at around 1:00 PM, a traffic accident occurred at the Dudweilerstraße, bus stop "Haus der Zukunft" in 66111 Saarbrücken, involving a bus and a pedestrian.
In this incident, a pedestrian fell in the area of the bus stop in front of a starting bus and was partially run over.
The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. One of the two lanes towards Jägersfreude had to be completely closed for the duration of the accident investigation, lasting 4.5 hours.
Further investigations are currently underway regarding the exact cause of the accident.
