18.06.2026 Press Release Society for Economic Development, Innovation and City Marketing Völklingen GmbH Völklingen City Open Airs 2026: Enjoy Music Under the Open Sky In the summer of 2026, the St. Eligius parsonage garden will once again be transformed into an atmospheric open-air stage: The "Völklingen City Open Airs" invite you to a total of eight varied live concerts on Thursdays in July and August – with free admission. This popular event series offers a wide-ranging musical program for every taste. The lineup of performing bands ranges from rock’n’roll and pop to blues and party music. Visitors can look forward to both well-known classics as well as current hits and exciting live performances. The opening act on July 9th will be the band "The Alligators" with an energetic rock’n’roll show. Following them are, among others, "Elliot," one of the best-known cover bands in Saarland, and "Final Frontier," who revive the spirit of the 80s. "Bruise Brassers" and "Five4Fun" offer diverse programs with hits from several decades, while "Fooling Around" and local favorites "Magic" provide excellent entertainment with rock and pop classics. The event will conclude on August 27th with the "Luke Trio," led by Lukas Schüssler from Völklingen, bringing modern blues to the stage.
