On Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the Customs Office invites all interested citizens to an open house at the Customs Office Kaiserslautern. Under the motto "We are CUSTOMS - The diversity of tasks, people, and generations," visitors can look forward to a varied program for the whole family.
At several information booths, customs employees present the diverse tasks of their authority. Visitors gain fascinating insights into the work of customs - from combating smuggling and product piracy to collecting taxes and controlling international goods traffic.
A special highlight of the day is the demonstration of the customs dogs, showcasing the skills of the specially trained tracking dogs. In addition, the Customs Museum Habkirchen presents itself and provides information about the history of customs as well as historical developments in border and customs matters.
Numerous interactive activities are also available for children and adults, offering playful insights into the work of the customs authorities and inviting participation.
Food and beverages are also provided. Throughout the entire event, food and drinks will be offered.
The CUSTOMS warmly invites all interested parties to take a look behind the scenes of the customs administration and to get to know the diverse tasks of customs. Admission is free.
