Blieskastel, June 16, 2026 21st Summer Academy at Haus Lochfeld Still available spots in "Basics of Drawing," mosaic workshop, stone and wood sculpting, and the children's academy The Saarpfalz District Adult Education Center invites you to the Summer Academy from July 27 to 31 in Wittersheim. There are still free places available for the course "Basics of Drawing" in this year's KVHS Summer Academy. Drawing means looking closely and translating what you see. Clara Hanzal teaches participants to look carefully and then put what they see onto paper. You will learn about the characteristics of the materials and how to work with them. Various materials such as pencil, charcoal, or colored chalks will be used. In the mosaic workshop, Gisela Heintz demonstrates how to let your thoughts flow stone by stone and finally make the world a little more colorful with your work. In the stone and wood sculpting course, experienced instructor Michael Hussmann emphasizes individually promoting and challenging participants according to their craft and creative abilities. However, the joy of creating should remain the main focus. Children's Academy At the same time, a creative week for children from seven years old takes place at Haus Lochfeld and the adjoining nature area. Each day offers new creative adventures for children to show how exciting and inspiring the nature right on our doorstep can be. The instructors are Rose Vöhringer (artist, fashion designer, art therapist) and Barbara Hilgers (sculptor, theater educator).
