From July 8 to 18, 2026, City Bingo invites you to discover Völklingen's city center in a special way.
Under the motto "Culture meets Commerce," the event combines elements of a scavenger hunt with a bingo game and a variety of cultural contributions.
Residents and visitors alike can explore the city center, complete tasks, and at the same time get to know the diversity of local shops, institutions, and cultural offerings.
Between the World Heritage site and the New Town Hall, numerous small
tasks are waiting to be solved. For each completed station, participants collect
stickers for their bingo card. The goal is to fill as many fields as possible
and finally submit a complete card for the main raffle. The grand prize is an iPad Air.
Anyone who completes a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row can also look forward to
attractive instant prizes such as vouchers and merchandise.
As proof of the completed tasks, for example, a photo of the respective action is sufficient. The appropriate stickers are given to the participants in the participating stores, especially in the City Office and the Tourist Information. Instant prizes are also distributed at the City Office and the Tourist Information.
Anyone who wishes to participate in the main raffle can submit their fully completed
bingo card with the required contact details by Monday, July 27th at the latest,
into the mailbox of the City Office (Rathausstraße 28) or the New Town Hall.
Participation in City Bingo is free of charge. The bingo cards are available during the promotional period at the City Office and the Tourist Information. Participation in the grand draw is reserved for persons aged 18 and over. Separate game cards are available for younger players, with which instant prizes can also be won. When these game cards are issued, a guardian must be present and give their consent.
In addition to the playful exploration of the city center, art and culture are at
the heart of the event. At various locations and at different times,
visitors can look forward to performances by regional artists and
cultural creators.
The official kickoff is an event on July 8th at 6:30 PM in the
parish garden behind St. Eligius Church. In a relaxed atmosphere, guests can look forward to an entertaining evening with a pub quiz, musical accompaniment, and lots of
information about the upcoming city adventure. The program will be hosted by magician Maxim Maurice.
With City Bingo, the city of Völklingen aims to establish an event format
that uniquely combines commerce, culture, and community.
The goal is to inspire people to visit the city center, enhance the visibility of local
businesses, and jointly create a vibrant urban experience.
