From June 12 to 14, 2026, numerous visitors came to the Wehrden local festival, which was organized by the Interested Community of Wehrden Citizens and Clubs e.V. together with the local clubs.
The official start was marked on Friday evening by the traditional keg tapping. Afterwards, live music created a lively atmosphere to kick off the festival weekend. On Saturday, the festival grounds were bustling with activity. In addition to culinary offerings and numerous encounters, a varied entertainment program was scheduled, attracting visitors of all ages.
Sunday was especially dedicated to families and local clubs. At the morning pint concert, various demonstrations, and interactive activities, numerous participants showcased their commitment and work. The performances by the youth clubs in particular attracted attention and impressively demonstrated the diverse leisure and club offerings in Wehrden.
It became clear that there is much more behind many performances than just mere entertainment. Team spirit, discipline, trust, and joint training form the foundation for many of the displayed achievements. This was also reflected in the demonstrations, which were met with great applause from the audience.
In addition to the stage program, rides, children's attractions, as well as various food and drink stalls provided a diverse array of offerings. On all three days, numerous guests took the opportunity to celebrate together, meet acquaintances, and enjoy some carefree hours at the festival grounds.
The organizers and involved clubs draw a positive conclusion after the weekend. The local festival once again demonstrated the importance of voluntary commitment and active club life for the community in Wehrden. Many visitors praised the family-friendly atmosphere and the diverse program, which had something to offer for both young and old alike.
