Saarland shines for inclusion, participation, and cohesion
Next Monday, June 15th, the Special Olympics National Games Saarland 2026 will begin. Since the beginning of the year, the host campaign “BeingThereis Saarland” has been visible statewide through posters, wrapped buses, flags, and banners.
For a few days now, Saarland has been illuminated at night for inclusion, participation, and social cohesion. Throughout the state, companies, institutions, and municipalities are participating in the campaign with purple and pink light illuminations at night.
“Since the beginning of the year, many municipalities, companies, and institutions have joined our campaign ‚Being Part of Saarland‘ and have shown their commitment to inclusion, participation, and social cohesion in various ways, as well as drawing attention to the Special Olympics National Games. With the illumination of the buildings, we are setting new standards and also creating a visible sign in the dark for the values that the campaign highlights. I thank all involved for this, as they also play a major role in creating a ‚Saarland summer fairy tale‘,” said Interior Minister Reinhold Jost.
The following buildings are currently being illuminated:
