Tracing the Celts: Insights into life at the time of the Princess of Reinheim
As part of the special exhibition "Gold in the Sand" in the Princess' Tomb of the Bliesbruck-Reinheim Cultural Park, Celtic groups will provide an insight into the time of the Princess of Reinheim around 400 BC on Saturday, June 13, and Sunday, June 14, each from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Clothing, jewelry, nutrition, and crafts will be presented to visitors this weekend. In addition, illustrative live craft demonstrations such as bronze casting (weather permitting), archery, and textile dyeing will take place. There is much to learn about the costume and material culture of the Iron Age, with a focus on the traditional jewelry of Iron Age women in the Greater Region. How people dressed at that time is shown in a small, impressive fashion show. What did the Celts eat? A display table about Celtic nutrition as well as a cooking station will answer this question.
