In the Merzig City Library, this year's award winners will read from their works. The reading will be accompanied by SR2 Kulturradio. All interested parties are warmly invited to attend.

Background:
In 2026, the district town of Merzig and Saarländischer Rundfunk will once again jointly award the prestigious Gustav Regler Prize as well as the Gustav Regler Sponsorship Prize. The award honors literary achievements that are particularly committed to intercultural and international understanding. The sponsorship prize supports young voices in literature. The prize commemorates the writer Gustav Regler, born in Merzig, who is regarded as an important representative of German-language exile literature and as a significant contemporary witness of anti-fascist movements of the 20th century.
