Summer fair and Sunday shopping event attract visitors to Merzig
From June 12 to 16, 2026, the traditional summer fair in the parking lot next to the town hall invites you to five days full of fun, entertainment, and sociable gatherings. With popular rides such as "Polyp XXL," "Music Express," "Break Dancer," and "Kuhnos Farm," visitors can look forward to a varied program for the whole family. Food and drinks will also be provided.
A special highlight this year is the official opening on Friday, June 12, at 5:00 PM, featuring the keg tapping by Mayor Marcus Hoffeld and the representative of the showmen, Thomas Sonnier.
On Monday, June 15th, Children's Day with magician Lukas Hefner is on the schedule. Tuesday, June 16th, is Family Day and offers reduced prices for rides and games. At the same time, the traditional flea market with a wide range of offerings from A to Z takes place on Monday and Tuesday.
In addition, the Merzig merchants invite you to an open Sunday for shopping on Sunday, June 14, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. In addition to attractive shopping offers, guests can enjoy face painting for children and craft activities in the pedestrian zone.
