Press Release 87/2026

Voting for the Dabeisein-ist-Saarland Song Contest has started

Since the beginning of February, the big Togetherness Song Contest of the Ministry of the Interior, Construction and Sports has been running in partnership with Saarländischer Rundfunk. Now the voting phase has started.

The people of Saarland have until June 12th to vote for their favorite interpretation of the "Dabeisein ist Saarland" song. On www.dabeisein-songcontest.de, 29 versions that meet the competition requirements are available for voting.

A prize of €3,000 has been announced for the first place in the song contest. The second-place winner can look forward to a sum of €2,000. Third place is endowed with €1,000. All placed participants will also have the opportunity to perform during the Special Olympics National Games from June 15 to 20 in Saarland.

The song contest is part of the campaign "Being there is Saarland," which primarily conveys values such as tolerance and respect to the citizens of Saarland and raises awareness for the topic of inclusion within and outside of sports in relation to the Special Olympics National Games.
