Press Release „My Visual World – Lifeline and Fulfilled Life“: Ortrud Kopp Exhibits at the Gisinger House Saargau
On Sunday, June 21, 2026, the exhibition "My Visual World - Lifeline and Fulfilling Life" by the artist Ortrud Kopp will open its doors at Haus Saargau in the Wallerfangen district of Gisingen. The vernissage begins at 11 a.m., with a laudation by Franz Kopp.
Ortrud Kopp's visual world is diverse, ranging from naturalistic depictions of plants and landscapes to figurative motifs and abstract compositions. This wide-ranging choice of subjects stems from a life-affirming attitude deeply connected to nature. The artist views her paintings as an intuitive expression of her own perceptions, moods, and feelings, inviting the viewer to partake in them. Her works are embodiments of vivid vitality through their radiant colors and expression of dynamism and movement. They invite lingering.
Ortrud Kopp lives in Schwalbach, Saarland. For decades, she worked as a lecturer at the adult education centers in Saarbrücken and Saarlouis and still teaches at the Schwalbach Painting and Art School. She is also actively involved in promoting creativity—from school projects in art education to therapeutic courses at the AHG Clinic Berus. For many years, she worked part-time as a graphic designer at a renowned advertising agency.
The exhibition can be seen at Haus Saargau until Sunday, July 19, 2026, and can be ideally combined with a visit to the herb and spice garden of the old Lorrainian farmhouse.
Haus Saargau is open Mondays to Wednesdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 2 to 5 p.m., and Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Admission is free. Visitors can use the nearby Gisingen hiking parking lot (for navigation: Gaustraße 46, 66798), about a five-minute walk from Haus Saargau. More information about the Haus Saargau museum is available online at www.rendezvous-saarlouis.de or by phone at 06837 – 91 27 62.
