VHS Völklingen opens exhibition "Expressive – Signs and Traces" by Sigi Ruby in the Old Town Hall
The Völklingen Adult Education Center cordially invites you to the opening of the exhibition "Expressive – Signs and Traces" with the Völklingen artist Sigi Ruby. The opening will take place on June 12, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the foyer of the Old Town Hall.
Under the motto Expressive – Signs and Traces, Sigi Ruby opens the foyer of the Old Town Hall to visitors and presents a variety of her artistic work. The artist works with painting, ceramics, sketches, and collages, taking the audience on a journey through different forms of expression, materials, and visual languages. With painting and ceramic colorings, as well as striking sketches and collages, testimonies of personal traces are created that touch both intimacy and the public sphere.
The exhibition is part of the events organized by VHS Völklingen and offers insights into Sigi Ruby's multifaceted artistic perspective, revealing traces from the past, present, and imagination. The opening evening provides an opportunity to engage with the artist, accompanied by brief introductions to her working methods and sources of inspiration.
The exhibition can be visited without an appointment until August 7, 2026, during the opening hours of the Old Town Hall Völklingen (Mon. – Thu. 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Fri. 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.).
