also in the "Paradise" at the Völklinger Hütte World Heritage Site, interested couples can #justmarry on June 27 or simply place their relationship under God's blessing. A prior registration helps to avoid possible waiting times. But spontaneous participation is also possible. Whether sparkling wine, bridal bouquet, or wedding cake – couples can equip themselves on site. The team of the Völklinger Reconciliation Church Congregation is there for them.
Attached you will find a press release for your consideration.
PS: By the way, the "Paradise" in the World Heritage Site is listed nationwide among the Top 9 most beautiful wedding venues according to the Protestant Church in Germany.

God's blessing for couples on June 27th at the Völklingen World Heritage Site
#easywedding in "Paradise" – also possible spontaneously
Völklingen. The Protestant Reconciliation Church Congregation Völklingen is participating in cooperation with the Völklingen Ironworks World Heritage Site on Saturday, June 27, in the nationwide campaign #justmarry by the Evangelical Church in Germany. Between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., couples of all ages have the opportunity in the "paradise" of the World Heritage Site to place their love, partnership, or marriage under God's blessing. The offer is low-threshold: a short preliminary conversation with a pastor is followed by an approximately 20-minute brief but meaningful wedding or blessing service.
Couples who are already married civilly can have a church wedding, and for everyone there is the option of a blessing without a marriage certificate, across denominational or religious boundaries. Blessings for wedding anniversaries are also possible.
At the “Café Paradies,” couples and their guests can enjoy a small wedding cake with a cup of coffee or tea, or toast the joyful occasion with a glass of sparkling wine. A small selection of bridal bouquets will also be available for purchase on site. The wedding ceremony or blessing itself is free of charge.
Prior registration via an online form (https://t1p.de/krq2h) is recommended. However, those who wish can also come spontaneously but should expect waiting times. For a church wedding, the marriage certificate and ID cards must be brought. No documents are required for a blessing.

The campaign #simplymarrywill is being carried out nationwide for the first time in 2026 jointly by the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) and twelve regional churches. On the central campaign website einfachheiraten.info, there is an interactive map where interested couples can find information about participating congregations near them. Over 300 celebration venues across Germany are registered, where festive blessings and church weddings take place in churches, gardens, and unusual locations as part of the campaign. The focus of the campaign is the weekend around the popular wedding date 26.06.2026.
