Good day,
Enclosed is a press release from the city of St. Ingbert with a request for publication.
Daycare Bahnhofstraße Rohrbach presents itself colorfully
Not only the kids had a lot of fun painting the large wooden letters of their "Kita Bahnhofstraße" with colorful paints. The adults who were voluntarily involved in the project also visibly enjoyed watching the children paint. The daycare children, diligently working together and well protected in smocks, all collaborated on the implementation of the project to make their daycare center more "visible" to the citizens.
The idea had been in the minds of local mayor Martin Biedermann and daycare director Ann-Kathrin Kaffke for a while, but the implementation took some time. Helpers and sponsors had to be sought to get the project underway. “Once it was clear what materials were needed and in which areas we required active manpower, I asked around and approached various people,” Martin Biedermann recounted. And he was successful: Stefan Paul spontaneously agreed to design and assemble, whom the local mayor smilingly described as a constant “helping hand.” Oliver Nothof from the company Nothof Verpackungen in St. Ingbert gladly donated the necessary wood, which Mark Henrich cut out in hours of work. Finally, Günter Luscher from the painting and varnishing company Luscher donated the primer, various colors, brushes, and buckets.
After the work was done, the result was impressive. The large letters attached to the outside of the fence shone in bright colors. "This way, everyone can already see from afar that behind the big fence – where the children's laughter comes from – a daycare center is hidden," said local mayor Martin Biedermann happily with the attending volunteers and the entire daycare team.
Elaine Maas, who is in charge of the overall management of the daycare center in St. Ingbert, was also enthusiastic about the result: "It was important to us to involve the children in shaping their own living environment. Designing with children for children – that is our motto here in St. Ingbert."
