Lions Club Saarlouis hands over donation to the aid fund of the district
For over 30 years, the aid fund "Citizens in Need" has been aimed at those people from the Saarlouis district who have fallen into a temporary emergency through no fault of their own. Lions Hilfe Saarlouis is one of the most loyal and consistent donors to the aid fund.
During a visit to the district administration office, President Stefan Bost, Vice President Tim Flasche, and Henning Frank, Chairman of the Saarlouis Lions Aid Organization, handed over their donation of 5,000 euros. In discussions, District Administrator Patrik Lauer and Christine Ney, Head of Social Services in the Saarlouis district, explained with selected case examples who received support in the previous calendar year. In 2025, the majority were single elderly people relying on basic security, single mothers and fathers, as well as people aged 50 and over with mental or chronic illnesses, who had received assistance from the "Citizens in Need" fund.
