Good day,
Attached is a press release from the city of St. Ingbert with a request for publication.
World Book Day with Ria Moorstein at the City Library
Three thousand bookstores participated in World Book Day, Germany's largest reading promotion campaign. They gave away the World Book Day book to over a million children, including the St. Ingbert bookstore Friedrich. Additionally, they were lucky enough to win a free reading. Thus, children's book author Ria Moorstein traveled to the medium-sized town to present her debut novel "The Journey to the End of Magic" to the fourth graders of Rischbach School at the St. Ingbert city library.
Ria Moorstein, 29 years young, has her roots in a Saarland village and moved to Karlsruhe to study science communication. It was there that she discovered her passion for writing. "As a child, I saw magic in everything and imagined the world a little differently than it was," is her confession. She always wanted to create magical worlds, researched mythical creatures and nature magic, and engaged intensively with the reality reference of fantasy books.
All this was found by the equally attentive and enthusiastic listeners in her novel, which is beautifully enhanced with elaborate illustrations by Natalie Behle and beyond. With her presentation, Ria Moorstein allowed her audience to delve deeply into the world surrounding the lively witch's house Thetis and the magician city Delphi, marveling at creatures like the cheeky tree spirit Oria or the eloquent cat Adonis.
The discussion with the primary school students didn’t want to end. They had so many ideas and asked profound questions, which Moorstein answered with great patience. The focus was mainly on the connection between personal experience and literary creation. The children wanted to know in detail how the production process of a book works, and especially girls expressed their intention to become authors themselves one day. Encounters with literature can be this inspiring, as here in the St. Ingbert city library on the occasion of World Book Day, when magical books captivate an eager audience.
