The Free Democrats are now relying nationwide on unity, clear leadership, and a distinctly liberal course. That Wolfgang Kubicki is now entering the race unitedly together with Henning Höne stands for exactly what the FDP needs right now: a clear course, a united appearance, and the courage to represent the liberal idea loudly and confidently.
With Wolfgang Kubicki at the helm, Henning Höne as first deputy, and Martin Hagen as secretary general, a team takes on responsibility that combines political experience, communicative clarity, and the courage to clearly advocate liberal positions against the prevailing spirit of the times. Kubicki represents political impact, argumentative sharpness, and a clear liberal stance like few others.
The FDP now needs above all the courage for a new beginning. Liberalism in Germany has always been strong when it did not just aim to mediate, but rather represented a clear idea of freedom: against paternalism, against an overbearing state, and for personal responsibility, advancement, and progress!
Now more than ever, Germany and Saarland need a strong liberal force. In times of growing bureaucracy, increasing government intervention, and new debates about regulation, redistribution, and paternalism, a political voice is needed that consistently defends freedom, property, entrepreneurship, and opportunities for advancement.
With the tailwind from the party's realignment, the Saarland Free Democrats and their state chairwoman Angelika Hießerich-Peter are fighting ahead of the 2027 state election. The FDP Saar is the only liberal voice in Saarland with a strong team.
