Good day,
Attached is a press release from the city of St. Ingbert with a request for publication.
Cheers to 50 years of the Luitpoldschule daycare
And so it all started with loud music at the summer festival of the Luitpoldschule daycare, as the children joyfully entered the daycare yard to the song by Andreas Bourani. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary, the daycare team had invited the parents to an internal summer festival.
All guests were warmly welcomed by the daycare director Selina Vogler, who reflected in her greeting on the past 50 years and countless generations of children: "Our daycare has been accompanying generations of children for 50 years – and today, former daycare children already bring their own children to us. This shows how formative our institution is for many families. My special thanks go to our entire team: With a lot of heart, commitment, and daily dedication, the staff make our daycare a place of security and togetherness."
Among the invited guests were, in addition to Mayor Dr. Ulli Meyer, Mayor Nadine Backes as well as local head Irene Kaiser and her deputy Fabian Roschy. “I am delighted about this special anniversary and warmly congratulate you! So many stories from the citizens of St. Ingbert are connected with this historic building. Your work in the skilled workforce team is certainly not always easy and often requires a lot of patience – yet you are always dedicated with care and a lot of heart to ensure the children feel comfortable here. Thank you very much for that.” As a gift, the mayor brought a new green Bobby-Car for the daycare center, which some children promptly unpacked with curiosity. Local head Irene Kaiser also congratulated on the anniversary and wished continued enjoyment in the facility and especially in the wonderful garden, a green play oasis in the middle of the city.
Following the official opening, the summer festival program began with the daycare ghost Balduin, who told the story of the Luitpold School together with the children.
Since the daycare center intensely engaged with the topic of STEM – mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and technology – as part of its educational work last year, the summer festival was also all about discovering and trying out: At various interactive stations, children and parents were invited to experiment together and be curious. With stamp cards, the young visitors could explore the individual activities and enjoy a small surprise at the end.
In addition, the daycare podcast "Kita Luitpold's Chat Box" on the topic "50 Years of Kita Luitpold" could be listened to inside the building, in which many participants had shared their memories, congratulations, and thoughts beforehand – including the mayor, parents of the daycare, and other companions. Outside, a "time travel" with photos from 50 years of daycare history also invited visitors to gain insights into the past and present of the institution.
As a surprise guest, the well-known musician and singer Dédé Mazietele Vavi finally arrived, singing songs with the children, drumming, and creating a lively atmosphere among all the guests with his impulses. All in all, a very successful summer festival and a worthy anniversary!
Info: The Luitpoldschule daycare center on Kaiserstraße is located in a historic building that was constructed in 1884 in the neoclassical style as a school. The building reflects the city's Bavarian past; a commemorative plaque marks the visit of Prince Regent Luitpold on September 24, 1888. After extensive use as a school in earlier years, it now serves as a municipal daycare center.
