Good day,
Attached is a press release from the city of St. Ingbert with a request for publication.
Conversion at KOCH Solutions in Rohrbach is entering the final phase
The renovation of the new company headquarters of KOCH Solutions Service GmbH in Rohrbach is in its final phase. During a site inspection, Managing Director KOCH Service Thorsten Treis, HR Manager Andreas Leidisch, interior designer Stefanie Alten (Designwerk 13), as well as Mayor Dr. Ulli Meyer gained an overview of the progress of the work.
KOCH Solutions GmbH and its subsidiary, KOCH Solutions Service GmbH, will relocate their company headquarters from Wadgassen to St. Ingbert-Rohrbach as of August 31, 2026. "With currently around 160 employees and a planned increase to about 180 staff, we are sending a clear signal for our new location," emphasizes Andreas Leidisch, Global Head of People.
The focus of the project is the comprehensive renovation of the former "Heckel Building," which has a rich history with numerous company headquarters. From PHB Pohlig-Heckel-Bleichert Vereinigte Maschinenfabriken AG to PHB Weserhütte, ThyssenKrupp Fördertechnik GmbH, then toFLSmidth, and finally toKOCH Solutions GmbH. Today, the building is owned by them. The elaborate complete modernization took place over a period of about one and a half years. In particular, the implementation of demanding fire protection requirements posed great challenges to those involved in the project.
The six-story building has been completely redesigned to meet modern requirements for office equipment and use. A spacious, bright working environment has been created that meets the needs of an internationally operating company. With a repertoire of over 10,000 projects in 125 countries worldwide and drawing on more than 200 years of experience, KOCH Solutions delivers proven, effective solutions tailored to individual challenges.
KOCH Solutions operates worldwide and maintains various locations. From the new "headquarters" in St. Ingbert-Rohrbach, German engineering expertise and sustainable service are rolled out: employees visit customers worldwide directly on-site to maintain and further develop existing systems. This business area is intended to be continuously expanded alongside the acquisition of new customers.
Mayor Dr. Ulli Meyer emphasized the importance of the settlement: "KOCH Solutions is a successful example of structural change here in St. Ingbert and at the same time a strong signal for our business location."
Interior designer Stefanie Alten is also passionate about the project: "From the very first walkthrough of the somewhat dusty and outdated office spaces, it was clear: there is enormous potential here. A place that can be transformed into a fresh, friendly, and modern work environment – with rooms that are not only functional but also create a pleasant atmosphere and offer genuine feel-good character for the staff."
Design of the new building
The new building impresses with a modern and functional room design. In total, around 50 offices are available on a floor area of more than 3,300 m², distributed from the basement to the 6th floor. The room offering is complemented by seven spacious open-plan offices, creating ideal conditions for communicative and efficient work. The corridor areas have been designed to be open and inviting, visually enhanced by strategically placed eye catchers.
The two existing meeting rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors have been integrated into the new plan. The large conference room on the 2nd floor offers over 65 m² of space for meetings, training sessions, and presentations with up to 24 people. The smaller meeting room, with around 37 m², is ideal for meetings with up to twelve participants. In addition, each floor has an extra meeting office for six to eight people.
In the anterooms of the office wings, there are modern, spaciously designed tea kitchens with comfortable seating areas that provide space for exchange and short breaks. A special addition is the catering kitchen on the 2nd floor, which offers ideal conditions for catering to customers and guests.
