PM_Appointment of executives at the Saarlouis District Office: Leadership team of Medical Task Force 41 newly formed
Passing the baton at the Medical Task Force (MTF) 41: Recently, members of the involved aid organizations gathered in the main conference room of the Saarlouis District Office to honor deserving colleagues and welcome others in new roles. Together with Saarlouis District Administrator Patrik Lauer, Saarbrücken Mayor Uwe Conradt, and Dr. Dominik Lorenz from the Ministry of the Interior, Construction and Sports (MIBS), dismissals and appointments were made at the leadership level of MTF 41.
The MTF 41 is a civil protection unit of the federal government, specialized among other things in the care of many injured persons in the context of large-scale operations. It is composed of volunteer, specially trained personnel from the German Red Cross (DRK), the Malteser, the Johanniter, the German Life Saving Association (DLRG), and the fire department. It is supported by the two local authorities Saarlouis and Saarbrücken as the lower disaster control authorities. The MTF 41 is the only unit of its kind in Saarland; there are 61 such units nationwide.
District Administrator Patrik Lauer thanked the outgoing and new leaders for their commitment: “As involved authorities, but also as civil society, we admire the determination, steadfastness, and reliability with which you all master both the extreme situations in your honorary office and the special balancing act in your own lives.” Mayor Uwe Conradt joined in the words of praise and spoke of an “enormously important day for civil protection in Saarland.” Dr. Dominik Lorenz addressed the tasks of the MTF in his keynote speech and placed the ceremony under the motto: “Passing on responsibility, rethinking civil protection.”
Department heads Andreas Schorn from the DRK district association Saarlouis and the deputy department head, Markus Dräger, from the Malteser city branch Saarbrücken were dismissed. Their successors are Dominik Groß (DRK district association Saarlouis) as department head and Bernd Schwarz (Malteser city branch Saarbrücken) as deputy department head. For the first time, Holger Kablé and Sascha Raubuch (both from the voluntary fire brigade Heusweiler) were appointed as platoon leaders of the decontamination platoon for injured persons.
