Good day,
Attached is a press release from the city of St. Ingbert with a request for publication.
Participatory campaign: St. Ingbert becomes cigarette butt-free!
On Saturday, May 9, between 10 and 12:30 PM, KLIMAFIT IGB and the VHS St. Ingbert invite you to participate in the "St. Ingbert goes smoke-free!" event.
St. Ingbert is to become cleaner – and you can contribute to this. On three action days, KLIMAFIT IGB invites all committed citizens to actively join together against littering in our city. The focus is primarily on collecting cigarette butts and other litter to set a visible sign for environmental awareness and city cleanliness.
Anyone who owns grabbers, gloves, or bags is welcome to bring them along. At the end of each appointment, a group photo is taken with the collected "found items," which is then published in the local print media, making the campaign publicly visible.
The events will take place on the following dates: Saturday, May 9, June 6, and September 12, 2026, each from 10:00 to 12:30! Meeting point in front of Engelbert's Church.
