A 71-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car coming from St. Ingbert while crossing Kaiserstraße. The woman was carried onto the hood and windshield of the car, ended up lying on the roadway, and was subsequently taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The 86-year-old driver of the car was not injured. Kaiserstraße was fully closed for about 3 hours between Oststraße and Spieser Landstraße. Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing. Witnesses to the accident are urgently requested to contact the St. Ingbert police station.
