The "Peace Light" initiative was launched in 1986. Every year, the Peace Light is lit in Bethlehem and then brought to Austria. There, Scout delegations from all over Europe receive the light to distribute it further in their home countries.
This year, everyone is invited to take the Peace Light home with a candle they bring along, whether to their house, apartment, or office. It is a symbol of unity and peace that brings people together during the Advent and Christmas season.
