A new cooperation partner for digital parking is the company Parkster. It markets solutions for parking space management for cities and municipalities, tourism associations, property managers, and parking operators, as well as models for companies for parking fee billing of field service and mobile employees.
How Parkster works
Drivers need the Parkster app on their smartphone to purchase a digital parking ticket. The app is available for free for Android devices on Google Play and for iPhone in the App Store. For the parking process, drivers first select the parking space and the parking duration in the app. Then they enter their license plate number and start the parking process.
The Parkster app also offers the classic benefits of mobile parking: Drivers can extend their parking time within the maximum allowed duration via smartphone if a doctor's appointment or shopping takes longer than planned. Conversely, if they return to their car earlier than expected, they can end the digital parking ticket early and thus save unnecessary parking fees. The classic “bread roll button” is also available in the app. Simply redeem a free ticket for the parking-free period.
With a Parkster account, users can park without additional service fees and receive a monthly consolidated invoice that details their parking transactions. Payment is made by invoice or with Visa/Mastercard. Users can choose whether they want to receive their invoice by email (free of charge, default) or by mail (€2.99 including VAT per invoice). The standard Parkster account can be enhanced with Parkster Plus, which offers optional additional features such as a family account. Service fees are charged for Parkster Plus.
Parkster also offers the option of express parking, allowing you to purchase a parking ticket without registration. A service fee of €0.50 is charged per parking transaction for express parking. Payment can be made via PayPal, debit/credit card, Google Pay, or Apple Pay.
