“The approval of the grant notice for €1,041,949.27 for the mobile phone mast in Mettlach is an important step towards closing the last white spots in our region, which was a major concern for me,” said Luksic. The mast is being constructed by Vantage Towers AG and is intended to significantly improve mobile phone coverage in the area.
The project is part of the successful federal mobile communications support program, which ends at the end of the year. Nationwide, nearly 270 funding projects have been approved in all rural states. "As a former Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Transport, I am particularly pleased that we can realize this important infrastructure project for Mettlach, for which I have successfully advocated," explains Luksic. "Comprehensive mobile coverage is essential today – for citizens, businesses, and last but not least, for tourism in our region."
