Graceful stilt walkers, an incredible three meters tall and almost from another world, also enrich the varied program of the traditional market.
Numerous stalls offer everything the heart desires before the holidays: from steaming mulled wine, crispy sausages, flame-grilled salmon, juicy burgers to international specialties and sweet treats.
For everyone still looking for a special Christmas gift, there are more than 30 stalls with silver and gemstone jewelry, handicrafts, and stylish accessories. Whether homemade liqueurs, Christmas decorations, or handcrafted goods made of leather and wood – no wish remains unfulfilled here.
Diverse stage program in front of the Old Church
In addition, the stage program in front of the Old Church offers further highlights that create a pre-Christmas atmosphere. Choirs and music clubs accompany the festive activities with traditional melodies and contemplative sounds. Especially the little guests can look forward to a children's program with a magic show and a Christmas reading.
The perfect start to the festive season! The Christmas market begins on Friday, December 20th, at 12 PM. At 5 PM, Albrecht Hauck, Deputy Mayor of the city, and local head Irene Kaiser will officially open the Christmas market on the stage in front of the Old Church.
