„The payment card creates a modern and practical solution that will reduce administrative effort in the long term and make the abuse of social benefits more difficult. At the same time, by paying out part of the benefits in cash, the dignity and autonomy of those affected are preserved,“ emphasizes the chairman of FDP-Saar, Oliver Luksic, MdB.
The FDP Saar points out that the introduction of the payment card is by no means discriminatory; rather, it helps to promote social cohesion by reducing misunderstandings about the use of funds. The focus is on a fair and responsible design of social benefits. After the FDP was able to push through the fundamental introduction of the payment card in Berlin despite much resistance, the FDP Saar expects the Saarland Ministry of the Interior to now promptly implement the introduction of the payment card in Saarland. It should also be used as comprehensively as possible and not only for newcomers.
