In the volume "Internal Investigations," Ralph Schock gathers stories that dedicate themselves to memories and experiences with revered people, such as Giwi Margwelaschwili. It deals with fathers in uniform, aunts in ghost marriages, the wisdom of a demented mother, violence and destruction, silk threads in Greece, accidents in Croatia, an inappropriate photo album, succulent friendships, and thoughts from the window. In all these texts, a history of the Federal Republic is simultaneously written. In his own inimitable way, Ralph Schock always tells of the unusual in everyday life in a sober, laconic manner, sometimes with very subtle humor.
Ralph Schock was born in Ottweiler in 1952.
