The golden jubilee is celebrated by the Protestant St. Johann Church Congregation with a festive service on the 1st Advent, Sunday, December 1st, at 10 a.m. in the Maria-Magdalene Church (Magdeburger Straße 76). The service will be conducted by Pastor Dr. John Nicholls (liturgy) and Superintendent Christian Weyer (sermon). The musical accompaniment will be provided by Helena and Adelheid Fontaine on organ and violin.
Afterwards, all guests are invited to lunch in the community rooms. There will also be an exhibition with historical and contemporary photos, intended to evoke memories of the past half-century, of the active circles and groups, and of all the people who still feel at home in the Maria Magdalena Church today.
