The Saarland and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg have maintained an excellent relationship for many years. With the joint declaration of intent, we are strengthening our cooperation on forward-looking issues in economic, industrial, and energy policy. Especially for our industry, it is essential that we work together in scaling up the hydrogen economy and jointly lay the foundation for the future of our border region.

Luxembourg's Minister of Economic Affairs, Lex Delles, adds: "The expanded partnership between Luxembourg and the Saarland is a significant step towards strengthening our cross-border region. With this letter of intent, we create the foundation to jointly develop solutions for the central challenges of energy and industrial policy. In particular, in the areas of the hydrogen economy, digitalization, and circular economy, we can set innovative impulses through cooperation and promote sustainable growth."
