The "Black Saturday" is all about shopping fun, entertainment, and special offers and is a joint project of the European and district town of Saarlouis, the city management, and "Der Verband Saarlouis e.V.". The event aims to highlight the attractiveness of the shopping city of Saarlouis and to attract people from the region to the city center.
Highlights of Black Saturday:
Free parking: All city parking spaces in the downtown area are available free of charge.
Free Bus Service: From 9 AM to 6 PM, visitors can use public transportation within the city of Saarlouis free of charge.
Baroque’n’Roll in the city center: Visitors can expect an extraordinary mix of music and baroque entertainment. Louis XIV, accompanied by the Barocco Royal Company, brings historic flair to the city.
City leadership on site: Invitation to the "Sprochen"
From 12:00 to 1:00 PM, Mayor Marc Speicher, Deputy Mayor Carsten Quirin, and Councillor Gerald Purucker invite you to a conversation ('Sprochen') under the pavilion on Französische Straße. "We want to be on site to engage in dialogue with citizens and visitors about Saarlouis," said Speicher, Quirin, and Purucker.
