“Saarland is taking a new path with the law to strengthen children and youth. By appointing the first Child Protection Officer under one roof with the newly established Ombudsman Office for Child and Youth Welfare in a Child Protection Competence Center, protection gaps are to be closed and the work of youth welfare offices in preventing child endangerment supported. Our focus is particularly on improving the use of assistance for children and youth and promoting interdisciplinary exchange as well as targeted cooperation with public and independent youth welfare.
