The marketplace invites you to linger with art, culture, and culinary delights. The German-French band Triologie provides the perfect music. With accordion, guitar, and double bass, the trio connects the beautifully dreamy music of Django Reinhardt with other styles. They tastefully arrange the music of the master with French chansons, including those by Charles Trénet, Yves Montand, Henri Salvador, but also play jazz classics, pieces by Stevie Wonder, and Chick Corea. The great jazz standards are interpreted in a variety of ways, and the rhythmic palette ranges from swing through Latin to funk.
Great children's program
Street magician Magic Pete captivates the audience with tricks. At 4 p.m., Maxim Maurice, supported by the Villa Fuchs cultural center, welcomes the young visitors. The passionate magician and German runner-up champion of magic will captivate both young and old spectators.
After the positive response at the last city festival, there will also be a children's flea market on Unterstraße at this year's Waderner Frühling. Registration is still possible until March 31st at 12 noon via kultur@wadern.de. Those who decide at short notice can simply come on Sunday and register.
Big raffle with attractive prizes
The Easter mobile, known from the Easter Bunny campaign, will be the centerpiece of the Wirtschaftsverband's raffle on Palm Sunday.
The task is to find out how many Easter eggs are on the Easter vehicle. Sweepstakes cards can then be filled out on site and dropped into the lucky box at the WVW stand. The drawing of prizes worth 500 euros will take place at 5:30 pm in the marketplace. If the winners are not present, they will be notified in writing. The vehicle for the Easter Bunny is provided free of charge by the KIA dealership Wilhelm, and the lettering was done by the company Schmitt Werbung in Wadern.
A special thanks also goes to all the sponsors who made this great initiative possible in the first place.
At the upper Montmorillon Square, the Wadern car dealers KIA Autohaus Wilhelm and Autohaus Schirra present their current range of car models. With outdoor dining, a wine stand, and hosts on the marketplace, there is plenty to satisfy your appetite!
Shops become art galleries
Not to be forgotten is, of course, the popular Wadern Art Route, which offers art to touch. For the twelfth time, the Wadern shops are transformed into galleries as regional and supraregional artists exhibit their works. Whether bookstore, optician, restaurant, shoe or flower shop – the dedicated Wadern shops become a colorful exhibition space. What makes the KUWA special is that many artists are present on site that day. This allows all art and culture lovers not only to admire the artworks but also to get to know the artists themselves – all without admission fees.
